Muthoni Ndonga

Muthoni Drummer Queen or Muthoni Ndonga (* Nairobi ) is a Kenyan rapper, singer, producer and entrepreneur.

Their style of music can be found in the alternative electro hip-hop area. Muthoni Ndonga also co-founded the “Africa Nouveau” festival and is also a co-founder of “AMKA DADA” and “Blankets & Wine”.

Life

Muthoni Ndonga was born in Nairobi. Muthoni Ndonga wanted to be an artist when she was a child, but her parents tried to stop her.

In 2004 she organized a concert with friends at her school at the time.

In 2008, after Muthoni Ndonga graduated from United States International University Africa (USIU Africa) with a degree in International Development and Philosophy , she founded the “Blankets & Wine” festival to establish a platform for alternative music in Kenya.

In 2015 she founded the Africa Nouveau music and art festival , which has been held annually in Nairobi since then.

Muthoni Ndonga released three albums. In her latest album SHE , she dedicated every song to a woman who impressed her.

Her song Suzie Noma became the theme song of the soundtrack of the film Rafiki by Wanuri Kahiu .
