The Muttseehöhle is a typical alpine shaft cave . It is located on the Muttsee plateau at an altitude of 2405 m above sea level. M. In the cave is the so-called Apocalypse . With a depth of 200 meters, this vertical shaft is the deepest shaft in Switzerland .
Due to the merger with the neighboring marble cave, the cave reached a measured total length of 7880 meters. It leads to a depth of -1,070 meters and thus occupies second place on the Swiss depth list.
