My defense is a German hardcore punk - band , which in 2005 Cologne was founded.

style

The aim of the band was not to orientate themselves on current musical trends. Stylistically, My Defense move in the area of ​​the classic, "old-school" -like and melodic hardcore of the 90s. The pieces are clearly influenced by New York and Californian hardcore of the time and are characterized by fast rhythms as well as hard and melodic riffs alternating with one another.

history

Over the years there were several changes of members, until the current formation of Perry S., Chuck Balzer, Bär, Merlin K. and Björn E. was formed.

The first release took place at the end of 2005, the self-created 5-track demo Here's My Rage . This was followed by numerous live appearances with bands from the local hardcore and punk scene and finally in 2007 the band's first album, God Damn Those Hardcore Junkies (released on Striving for Togetherness Records ).

In the following year, My Defense produced the 6-track demo EP I'MBREAKABLE , which was followed by the EP Make A Choice in 2009 .

With the last line-up change in 2011, the band has been stable since then and in the following years brought out an EP (Delorean, 2012) and the first vinyl release in the form of the album "No Place Like Home" (2014).
