Local trader

Mycelium Local Trader is a decentralized marketplace for exchanging Bitcoin for cash, which is built into the app itself. Since the bitcoins are stored locally on the device, the local trader function never has access to the private keys. The Local Trader Servers only arrange the trade between buyer and seller. Anyone can upload advertisements to buy or sell Bitcoins, with a reputation system in place that rates users. For each trade, Mycelium charges 0.5% fees of whoever uploaded the advertisement. Since the cryptocurrency market is subject to strict regulations, local traders are an easy way to purchase bitcoins anonymously regardless of the country and the laws there.

history

The Mycelium project was announced on September 13, 2013. The project was originally called BitcoinSpinner, which was later changed. The wallet has supported the HD system since October 7, 2014, which is why you can keep several private keys in one account. The iOS version was announced on December 18, 2014, with the focus still on the Android version, which is also noticeable in the lack of features in the iOS app.
