Mynth
Mynth is an electro-pop duo from Salzburg .
Mynth was founded in December 2014 and consists of the twins Giovanna and Mario Fartacek . They attracted attention in early 2015 with their first video and their debut EP Polar Nights , which was released in February . In January 2016 the duo was awarded the Heimo Erbse Förderpreis , a prize for young Salzburg musicians. The band's first album was released in February 2016.
The style of the duo ranges between pop, electronics and trip-hop . The restrained tempo of most of the songs seems dreamy to melancholic.
The two twins had previously played with the indie band Deadnote.danse .
In 2017 the band won the Amadeus Austrian Music Award in the Electronic / Dance category .
