Myra Maimoh (born December 6, 1982 in Bamenda , Cameroon) is a soul singer.

Life

She comes from a large Christian family from Bamenda. Maimoh's mother was her greatest musical influence when she was a child. Impressed by the records of Skeeter Davies, James Brown, Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong as well as African blues, country music, traditional African music to jazz and pop, Maimoh began singing and dancing at the age of three.

At the age of 13 she wrote her first songs and stories such as It's not too late , Life is short , Aberni ma Papa and Our Lord is always there . It's not too late was later released by Cherubic Queens, a girl band from Cameroon, which Myra Maimoh joined when she was 15. Maimoh wrote and sang for the Cherubic Queens for three years. Myra Maimoh's music career ranged from singing to dance performances, such as with the Crystalz group.

In 1998 and 2001 Maimoh got the title "Miss Coca Cola", which emerged from an artist competition of the soda manufacturer. From 2001 to 2005 Myra not only worked as a studio vocal for studios and artists, she also sang background, vocals, lead vocals and jingles for private or public radio stations.

Maimoh has lived in Germany since 2005. She studied International Business Administration. During this time her musical career consisted of live performances in groups, lead vocal positions in choirs, solo performances and studio vocals. Since 2010 she has been under contract with Hitsmith, the label under which she recorded answer'd me .
