Mysteries of the Life of Jesus

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In (Catholic) theological literature, the mysteries of the life of Jesus mean both the individual station in the life of the believed (not the historical) Jesus and the significance of this station in life for Jesus as the second hypostasis of God incarnate and for us.

As a single mystery z. B. Jesus' birth, his circumcision, the wine miracle of Cana, the piercing of his side on the cross. It was only late in the modern era that the spiritual dimension of the mysteries of life was separated from the systematic-theological penetration (which, as is often complained about, was to the detriment of both sides).
