The party Národní socialisté - levice 21. století , abbreviated NS-LEV 21 or LEV 21 ( German  People's Socialists - Left of the 21st Century ) is a political party in the Czech Republic .

The party came into being in 2011 when the former chairman of the ČSSD and former Czech Prime Minister Jiří Paroubek left his old political home and joined the traditional “People's Socialists” ( Czech National Social Party ) under the current name. Paroubek was elected chairman of the new political party.

The party largely represents social democratic or socialist positions. In the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament, she was temporarily represented by two deputies from the ČSSD to the People's Socialists after Paroubek and his party friend, former ice hockey player Jiří Šlégr , converted.

The new party occurred in the elections to the district parliament on 12/13. October 2012 for the first time nationwide and only achieved 0.5% of the vote. In none of the districts ( Kraj ) - not even in Ústí nad Labem , in which the party chairman Paroubek ran as the top candidate - she managed to jump over the 5% hurdle.

In July 2013, the party spoke out against the Jiří Rusnok government . In the elections to the House of Representatives held in October 2013 , the People's Socialists only got 0.08% of the vote. They are therefore no longer represented in the House of Representatives.

For the 2014 European elections , the LEV 21 ran with Jiří Paroubek as the top candidate. Although the party was partially seen in the polls in the EU Parliament, the party only received 7,099 votes (0.46%). Paroubek retired a short time later from the party leadership and resigned from the party.

In the 2017 parliamentary elections in the Czech Republic , the NS-LEV 21 ran partly together with the right-wing extremist DSSS.
