Stitched fabrics

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sewn-knitted fabrics , also sewn-knitted fabrics or sewn-knitted fabrics , are textile fabrics made of threads and / or fibers that are held together by stitches .

The production takes place on stitchbonding systems, which are equipped with pointed-head compound needles arranged on a needle bar. These needles can pierce the surfaces presented, such as loosely superimposed sets of threads, fleeces , woven fabrics , knitted fabrics or even foils (sewing technique), in order to then tie them off by stitch binding (warp knitting technique).

The stitched fabrics can be subdivided as follows:

- Textile fabrics ( sewing fabrics ) produced in knitted threads integrated into a flat base material

  • Non-woven sewing fabrics (e.g. Maliwatt )
  • Thread layer sewing fabrics (e.g. Malimo )
  • Pile thread sewing fabrics (e.g. Malipol)
  • Weft pile sewing fabrics (e.g. weft pile).

- in textile fabrics ( nonwoven active substances ) produced without the use of threads through the formation of fiber meshes from fiber fleeces provided

  • Pile fiber nonwoven fabrics (e.g. Voltex or Kunit)
  • Mesh nonwoven fabric (e.g. Multiknit).
