Verena E. Müller

Verena E. Müller (born May 8, 1940 in Basel ) is a Swiss historian and author .

Life

She grew up first in Basel and later in Lucerne with two siblings as the daughter of a pharmacist and a doctor. After studying at the University of Zurich, she taught history and French as main teacher at the canton school in Frauenfeld from 1966 to 1978 , and has worked and lived in Zurich for many years . From 1988 to 2003 she worked as an editor for the magazine Gymnasium Helveticum . She published a biography of both the first Swiss doctor, Marie Heim-Vögtlin , and the first Swiss surgeon and founder of the Swiss nursing school, Anna Heer .

At the invitation of the Aargau Evangelical Women's Aid, Müller paid tribute to the achievements of the first female presidents of the AEF on the occasion of the 100th annual meeting on May 26, 2010.
