Wang Zhiwei ( Chinese  王智伟 , Pinyin Wáng Zhìwěi ; born July 18, 1988 in Yangquan ) is a former Chinese sports shooter .

successes

Wang Zhiwei took part in the Olympic Games in London in 2012 and in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 in competition with the Free Pistol . In 2012 he moved into the final with 566 points as second in the qualification , in which he scored a further 92.6 points. He was only overtaken by Jin Jong-oh , who won the gold medal, and finished the competition behind Choi Young-rae on the bronze rank. Four years later he made it into the final again in eighth place with 556 points, which he finished in fifth place. In 2014 he was world champion in the team competitions with the air pistol and also with the free pistol in Granada . In the same year he also won the bronze medal in the individual and the gold medal in the team competition at the Asian Games in Incheon with the free pistol. He secured silver with the air pistol team.
