Nénène Maille
Jean "Nénène" Maille (* around 1910, † after 1959) was a French guitarist of gypsy jazz .
Maille, a cousin of the jazz guitarists Baro , Sarane and Matelo Ferret , played with Michel Warlop in the mid-1930s , with whom the first recordings were made, in the following decade and later. a. with Martha Love / Le Septuor Jazz de Paris, Sarane Ferret et le Swing Quintette de Paris (“I Should Care”, 1947) and Jerry Mengo . The last recordings were made in 1959 with Joseph Reinhardt . In the field of jazz he was involved in nine recording sessions between 1935 and 1959. He also worked with Charles Trénet .
He should not be confused with the gypsy jazz guitarist Jean “Montagne” Maille or the younger Jean “Cérani” or “Serani” Maille.
