Georges Effrosse (born September 20, 1910 in Paris ; died 1944 ) was a French violinist.

Live and act

Effrosse, who was of Jewish descent, was a member of Ray Ventura's orchestra from 1930 to 1934 . In 1935 he played in the restaurant of the Carlton Hotel in Amsterdam in the orchestra of Ray Binder, later he was a member of the orchestra of the Opéra National de Paris . In 1942 he also took part in the recordings of Sarane Ferret et le Quintette de Paris, in which eight titles were recorded, which are considered the first high point in Sarane Ferret's career. As a violinist, Effrosse was guided by the Hungarian Csárdás tradition.

The following year he performed with Jacques Hélian's orchestra. To avoid persecution by the Nazis, Effrosse tried to hide his identity. Nevertheless, he was interned with French Jews in the Drancy assembly camp near Paris and deported to the Mittelbau-Dora concentration camp in 1944 , where he died of typhus in the same year .
