The Nuremberg Gospel Choir is a gospel choir from Nuremberg .

The oldest gospel choir in Nuremberg was founded in 1968 and has 45 members who are dedicated to Afro-American church music, the gospels and spirituals . All members have in common the joy of interpreting these modern gospel songs and traditional Negro spirituals, which have found more and more enthusiastic listeners, especially recently.

These are mainly arrangements that have been rewritten specifically for this choir by the choirmaster Gerhard Albrecht and which at the same time should largely preserve the originality of the pieces. The choir is accompanied by a band made up of piano, drums, bass, guitar, trumpet and percussion.

Concerts were not only held in the local Nuremberg area, but also made the choir known in large parts of Germany. A wide audience got to know and appreciate him at the church days in Frankfurt, Dortmund, Berlin, Munich and Leipzig. The choir also undertook several concert tours in other European countries, B. to Poland, the Czech Republic and France.
