National Amateur Bodybuilders Association
National Amateur Bodybuilders Association ( NABBA ) is an organization founded in the United Kingdom in 1950 to promote bodybuilding .
The first competition was held on June 24, 1950. The competition has continued to the present day and is currently called the Universe Championships .
When bodybuilders outside the UK wanted to compete, other country organizations joined in and NABBA International was founded. Later NABBA organizations were founded in various countries, including NABBA Australia , NABBA USA , NABBA Germany , NABBA Italy , NABBA Austria , NABBA Ukraine . The name NABBA continues to refer to the British founding organization.
