The National Athletic Committee Germany ( NAC for short ) is an association for bodybuilding and fitness in Germany . The NAC Germany is divided into 4 regional associations (east, west, north, south). It organizes regional and national competitions in various categories and classes and is internationally affiliated to the NAC International Association.

The NAC was founded in Cologne in 1999 with the aim of establishing an athlete-friendly and democratic German umbrella organization for fitness, athletics and bodybuilding in competition with the German Bodybuilding and Fitness Association, which has existed since 1966 .

Founding members were u. a. the current chairmen of the regional associations North Harald Hoyler, regional association Attila Hercsuth and regional association West Dirk Kau.

The NAC has had an information stand at the FIBO fitness fair since 2007 and the FREY Classic invitation competition with prize money since 2010, which opens the spring season with international athletes and an international newcomer championship every year. For the promotion of young talent and the development of those interested in competitive sports, the regional associations offer route-to-stage courses in spring and coaching and posing seminars in autumn with the participation of national team athletes.
