NASDAQ OMX Commodities Europe is the brand name of an exchange for financial products in the energy sector for the Scandinavian countries ( Norway , Denmark , Sweden and Finland ) and for the Baltic countries ( Estonia , Latvia , Lithuania ).

It belongs to the company NASDAQ OMX Oslo ASA , which operated under the name Nord Pool ASA until November 2010 . The power exchange is now indirectly part of the NASDAQ OMX Group . Before that, the Norwegian and Swedish transmission system operators Statnett and Svenska Kraftnät each had a 50% stake in the company.
history
In 2002 the spot market was spun off into Nord Pool Spot ASA . Since 2008, Nord Pool was the largest energy futures exchange and the second largest exchange on which the European Union emission allowances (EUA) and the global Certified Emission Reductions (CERs) can be traded.
