The Nasdaq, Inc. (formerly NASDAQ OMX Group ), headquartered in New York is one of the largest international exchange operator , which consists of 27 February 2008 merger of NASDAQ and OMX was born. In addition to NASDAQ , Nasdaq, Inc also includes the Stockholm, Helsinki and Copenhagen stock exchanges (as "Nasdaq OMX Nordic") and the Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius stock exchanges under the name "Nasdaq Baltic". In total, over 3,700 companies are currently listed on the Nasdaq, Inc. stock exchanges, with a total value of US $ 10 trillion.

In October 2008 the NASDAQ OMX Group acquired 22 percent of the European Multilateral Clearing Facility (EMCF) from Fortis-Bank .

In June 2013 the NASDAQ OMX Group acquired the Investor relations, Public relations and Multimedia Solutions divisions from Thomson Reuters . With this purchase, the number of corporate customers has increased to over 10,000.

NASDAQ OMX Europe

NASDAQ OMX Europe (also Neuro ) is a London- based subsidiary of the NASDAQ OMX Group , which was founded in March 2008 and operates the multilateral trading system of the same name, which went into operation in September 2008 . The application for official approval was submitted to the Financial Services Authority (FSA) in April 2008 . The aim of the MTF is to gradually trade the most liquid European stocks.

Just like NASDAQ, NASDAQ OMX Europe is also based on the electronic INET system.

International Securities Exchange

On March 9, 2016, Nasdaq Inc. announced that it would take over the International Securities Exchange (ISE) from Deutsche Börse AG . The purchase price is $ 1.1 billion in cash.
