The NB I. Szabó László csoport 2003/04 was the top division of the Hungarian team championship in chess. For the reported team squad of the participating clubs see team squad of NL I. Szabó László csoport 2003/04 .

Game dates

The competitions took place on September 28, October 5, November 16 and 30, December 7, 2003, January 25, February 8 and 22, March 21 and April 4 and 18, 2004. They were played decentrally at the clubs involved.

Season course

Although the defending champion Csuti Antal SK Zalaegerszeg lost to the ASE Paks at the start of the season and also drew against Nagykanizsa TSK , they prevailed with an 8 point lead. From the NL I / B. were Makói Spartacus Vasas Sportegyesület and Tabáni Spartacus Sportegyesület ascended. While Makói reached relegation, Tabáni had to relegate directly. From a sporting point of view, Vasas SC Novák would have been the second relegated, but with the withdrawal of Miskolci SSC , they still managed to stay in the league.
