NK Junak is a Croatian football club from the city of Sinj . He currently plays in the third Croatian league.
history
The club was founded on July 18, 1916, in 1971, under player- coach Mirko Jozić , the club's greatest success in the former Yugoslavia was promotion to the second Yugoslav league . With the establishment of the 1st HNL in independent Croatia, Junak Sinj received a starting place in the 2nd HNL. After the championship in the south season, he was promoted to the 1st HNL "B" in 1996. After several years in the third division, the club was given the right to start the 2nd HNL in 2008 as third place in the season south, because the first place received no license and the second placed had not applied for one.
