The Norwegian steam locomotive series NSB Type 4 was a locomotive built in 1867 as a one-off by Beyer-Peacock in Manchester , England , with the serial number 812 for the Oslo – Kongsvinger – Furumoen (Kongsvingerbanen - KB) railway .

NSB type 4a

In 1885 the locomotive was given a front running axle and thus the 1'C-3 wheel arrangement. This was associated with the classification as a class 4a .

Locomotive 4a 20 was decommissioned around 1918/19 and scrapped.
