from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Nachal Sanoach ( Hebrew נַחַל זָנוֹחַ, English Nahal Zanoah ) is a wadi in the Judean Mountains (הֲרֵי יְהוּדָה Harej Jəhūdah , German , Mountains of Judaea ' ) in the Jerusalem Corridor ( Hebrew פְּרוֹזְדּוֹר יְרוּשָׁלַיִם, English Prozdor Yerushalayim ) in Israel . The river was named after the city of Sanoach . Nachal Sanoach begins at an altitude of over 600 meters near the village of Matta (מַטָּע). Then the river runs to the west and passes through a valley with wooded slopes. Near Bet Shemesh the river turns north and runs for about 5 km along the route of Highway 3855. East of Bet Shemesh, the following rivers flow into the stream:

  • Nachal Osen (נַחַל אֹזֶן)
  • Nachal Meʿara (נַחַל מְעָרָה)
  • Nachal Dolev (נַחַל דֹּלֶב)
  • Nachal Machseya (נַחַל מַחְסֵיָה)
  • Nachal Jaʿale (נַחַל יַעֲלֶה)

On the northeastern outskirts of Bet Schemesch the Nachal Sanoach flows into the Nachal Soreq .
