Nachoem Wijnberg
Nachoem Mesoelam Wijnberg (born April 13, 1961 in Amsterdam , Netherlands ) is a Dutch university professor , poet and writer.
Life
Nachoem Wijnberg studied law and economics at the University of Amsterdam and received his doctorate from the Rotterdam School of Management in 1990 .
Wijnberg has been teaching at the University of Amsterdam since 2005 .
Author activity
In 1989 he published his first work, the De simulatie van de schepping collection from the De Windroos poetry series . Since then, 18 volumes of poetry and several novels have been published. Practically every poetry award in the Netherlands is one of his awards . He is one of the most important contemporary Dutch poets. In January 2004 he received the Jan Campert Prize for Eerst dit dan dat and in 2008 the Ida Gerhardt Poëzieprijs for songs; In 2018 he was awarded the PC Hooft Prize for his complete work.
