Detention for adults is a television series produced in black and white by the Hessischer Rundfunk . In the 21 episodes, evenings are described in which an elderly professor, played by Paul Henckels , passes on his great knowledge to a few adults. The first broadcast took place from 1958 to 1960 in the Hessian regional program.
concept
An episode of this television series usually begins with a conversation between adults who have met in a school classroom. During the conversation, the omniscient professor enters the room, asks questions to those present, who he treats like students, and expands their general education (and that of the audience) in a certain area of knowledge through his explanations.
The professor's actor was Paul Henckels , whose most famous role was that of Professor Bömmel in Die Feuerzangenbowle . It is no coincidence that the evening conversations take place against the backdrop of this film.
