Wolfgang Haller (born July 20, 1924 in Hamburg ; † July 23, 1994 ) was a German actor and theater director .

Live and act

Wolfgang Haller did his Abitur in Hamburg. During the Second World War he was taken prisoner by Russia on the Eastern Front . He had his first engagement as an actor in the 1950/51 season at the Hildesheim City Theater . Between 1951 and 1960 he worked as a director at the Lucerne Theater and worked as an actor and director at the Theater am Roßmarkt in Frankfurt am Main (1956–1959). Several times he was active in these functions at the Deutsche Kammerspiele in Santiago de Chile (1955, 1959–1963 and 1969–1971). He also made guest appearances at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg (1960/61), the Schauspielhaus Zürich , the Sommertheater Winterthur and again at the Frankfurt Theater am Roßmarkt. After 1962, at the side of his wife, the Swiss actress Sylvia Denzler , he went on numerous guest tours through Europe, Africa, America and Asia, where he worked in solo programs under the direction of Denzler in adaptations of dramas or novels such as Stiller by Max Frisch , Erich Kästner's Fabian and the moral judges or confessions of the impostor Felix Krull after Thomas Mann appeared. Between 1959 and 1972 Wolfgang Haller also had a few roles in German television series and television films.
