Aldershot by-election in 1954
The by-election in Aldershot 1954 was a by-election to the House of Commons that took place on October 28, 1954 in the constituency of Aldershot . It had become necessary after the incumbent MP Oliver Lyttelton was raised to the nobility as Viscount Chandos and moved to the associated seat in the House of Lords . The Conservative Party candidate Eric Errington won the by-election .
