Naharina ( ancient Egyptian Nehern ) is a name for northern Syria , which has been documented in ancient Egypt since Thutmose I. The (landscape) designation was later transferred to the Mitanni realm. The Mitannian king Šuttarna II is referred to as the prince of Naharina.
