Career
Christopher McNaughton began his career at TSV Ansbach . He then played for TSV Tröster Breitengüßbach in the 2nd basketball league and with a double license in the basketball league for TSK Bamberg . During his studies in the USA from 2003 onwards he played at Bucknell University for the bison in NCAA Division I, which accepted him into its hall of fame in 2017 . He was involved in the greatest successes of this university team, the two-time qualifications for the second round of the NCAA Division I Basketball Championship tournament in 2005 and 2006, which can be seen as a success for teams in the Patriot League . Among them was a first round win against the strongly favored Jayhawks of the University of Kansas in 2005 with the game-winning basketball success of McNaughton. Charles Lee's intermittent teammate is one of the top ten points collectors of all time on his college team. After a short stay with CB L'Hospitalet in the LEB Oro , the second division of Spain , McNaughton played for two years in the third class LEB Plata, where he was active for the clubs Prat Joventut and Faymasa Palencia . With the latter club he was able to win the championship and the league cup in this class in 2009. He then returned to Germany and played for the BG Göttingen the following season . With Göttingen he won the EuroChallenge in 2010 , only the third cup victory of a German team in a European competition. In the final against Krasnye Krylja Samara he was the top scorer with 22 points and played a decisive role in the success.
For the 2010/2011 season, McNaughton moved within the league to the German champions of 2009 EWE Baskets Oldenburg. There he received a contract for two years, which was terminated by EWE Baskets after the 2010/2011 season. McNaughton then signed a contract with Eisbären Bremerhaven for the 2011/2012 season.
After a year in which the polar bears missed the play-offs, McNaughton moved again within the league and moved to the s.Oliver Baskets from Würzburg. There he received a contract until 2014. After the sporting descent with Würzburg in 2014, McNaughton did not receive a new contract and moved to the MHP Giants Ludwigsburg . There he signed a two-year contract.
After his contract in Ludwigsburg ended, he ended his career and lives with his family in Pennsylvania, USA.
