Nail Gönenlı

Nail Gönenlı (born April 13, 1924 in Gönen , Balıkesir , † 1969 in Sofia ) was a Turkish eventing and show jumping rider .

Gönenli attended the Kara Harp Okulu and graduated as a lieutenant in the cavalry. He took part in the Olympic competitions in Stockholm and Rome ; first with the eventing riders, where he could not place either in the individual or with the team; four years later he started with the show jumping and was 31st in the individual. The team was eliminated in the preliminary competition. After his active career, he became a coach in 1965 and died during a competition in Sofia.
