Nakfa Wildlife Reserve is a protected area in Eritrea in the Semienawi Kayih Bahri region (Northern Red Sea region). It is in the Afabet district . In 1959 it was at the time of the British expelled administration and already in the 1960s by volunteers from the US - Peace Corps developed. However, the protected area is hardly developed and due to the existing travel restrictions in Eritrea, the area is currently not accessible.
