Semienawi Kayih Bahri ( ዞባ ሰሜናዊ ቀይሕ ባሕሪ , also written Semenawi Keyih Bahri , Arabic منطقة البحر الأحمر الشمالية, Italian Regione del Mar Rosso Settentrionale ; German Northern region of the Red Sea ) is a region (Zoba) of Eritrea with 617,000 inhabitants.
The main town of the region is the port city of Massaua .

The population of Semienawi Keyih Bahri mainly belongs to the ethnic groups of the Rashaida , Tigre , Saho and Afar (Danakil).

The region covers the northern part of the country's Red Sea coast and has an area of around 27,800 km², including the Dahlak Archipelago . In the northwest it borders on Sudan .
Other cities besides Massaua are Nakfa , Afabet , Ghinda , Karura , Zula and Filfil .
