Debub ( Tigrinya ዞባ ደቡብ , Arabic المنطقة الجنوبية, Italian Regione del Sud ; German  southern region ) is a region ( zoba ) of Eritrea with about 1,088,000 inhabitants.

Its capital is Mendefera (Adi Ugri).

geography

The region lies on the southern border of the country, bordering Ethiopia . It consists of the districts of Adi Keyh , Adi Quala , Areza , Dbarwa , Dekemhare , Kudo Be'ur , Mai-Mne , Mendefera, Segeneiti , Senafe and Tserona .
