Anseba ( Tigrinya ዞባ ዓንሰባ , Arabic إقليم عنسبا, Italian Regione dell'Anseba ) is a region ( Zoba ) of Eritrea with a total of about 621,000 inhabitants.

Their capital is Keren .

geography

The region is named after the Anseba River , which flows through it and which flows into the Barka . Anseba is located in the northwest of Eritrea, in the west it borders on Sudan .

The region consists of the districts of Adi Tekelezan , Asmat , Elabered , Geleb , Hagaz , Halhal , Habero , Keren, Kerkebet and Sela .
