Nana Akomea

Nana Akomea is a leading politician in Ghana . He has served as Minister for Vocational Training and Employment in the Cabinet of President John Agyekum Kufuor since August 1, 2007 . Akomea was Minister of Information and Presidential Affairs during Kufuor's first term. He is a Member of Parliament for the Okaikwei South constituency as a member of the New Patriotic Party . As a parliamentarian, Akomea was chairman of the parliamentary committee on trade.

He is from Nsutam in the Eastern Region . He studied communication science at the University of Ghana and graduated in 1991. He began his professional career at Focal Point Advertising Company before moving into parliament. He is unmarried and a member of the Presbyterian Church.
