Nancy Ajram (2007)

Nancy Ajram (نانسي عجرم, DMG Nānsī ʿAǧram , born  May 16, 1983 in Beirut ) is a Lebanese singer. She is a frequent guest on Arab television shows and is known as "The Queen of Arab Pop".

childhood

Nancy was born into a Christian Orthodox family. At the age of 12 she took part in the TV show Noujoum Al Mostakbal (German Stars of the Future ) and won a gold award. She started studying music with the best music teachers in Lebanon. Before she was of legal age, she was accepted into the syndicate for professional artists in Lebanon. In 1998 she released her first album Mihtagalak ( I need you ). In 2001 the album Sheel Oyoonak Anni ( Take your eyes off me ) followed.

Career

The songs from their third album يا سلام / yā salām  / 'fantastic' made them famous. Video clips for some songs were quickly shot. In 2004 she released the albumآه و نصّ / ʾĀh wi nuṣṣ  / 'Yes, of course' , which also quickly became popular and contained some video clips.

In 2005 she signed an advertising contract for Coca-Cola . Among other things, their songs were in the backgroundول تاني كده / qūl tānī kedah  / 'Say it again' andمعجبة / muʿiǧabah  / 'Bewildered' played. In the same year she also signed a contract with the Arab jewelry company "Damas".

The Arab magazine Zahrat el Khalij named Ajram the best Arab singer for 2003/2004. The newspapers did something similar in 2005. In February 2006, she released the album Ya Tabtab… Wa Dalla . The Arab world was particularly impressed by the song Ehsas Jdeed . Nancy Ajram has sold over twelve million CDs in the Arab world. That is why she is considered the third most successful female music producer in Arabic music history.

For 2007 Ajram released the album شخبت شخبيت / šaḫbit šaḫabīt , which she dedicated to a group of most loyal fans - the children. The albumبتفكّر في إيه؟ / bitfakkar fī ʾiīh  / 'What are you thinking about ?' appeared in August 2008. In 2010 her album Nancy 7 (نانسي ٧) came out, only four years later, in February 2014, Nancy 8 "(نانسي ٨) was released.
