Nanque

The Nanque was a small measure of weight in Madagascar and a gem, gold and silver weight . The measure was one of the smallest on the island. A similar measure was the nanqui . It was about ½ a scruple . Both dimensions were often equated.

  • 1 nanque = 6 grains = 2/5 grams
  • 1 Sompi = 1 ⅓ Vari = 3 War = 6 Sakabr / Sacares / Scruple = 12 Nanki / Nanqui / Nanque = 3.824 grams
