Nansheng kiln

The Nansheng kiln ( Chinese  南 勝 窯  /  南 胜 窑 , Pinyin Nánshèng yáo ) was a type of ceramic kiln towards the end of the Ming and beginning of the Qing dynasties. The ovens were located in the area of greater community Nansheng and the community Wuzhai the circle Pinghe of the prefecture-level city Zhangzhou in the Chinese province of Fujian .

Its products belong to the Swatow ware ( Shantou qi汕头 器; ​​English Swatow ware ) named after the city of Shantou ( Swatow ) (in the south-western neighboring province of Guangdong ).

The site of the Ming and Qing Dynasty Nansheng Kiln has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (6-98) since 2006 .
