Naohiko Minobe ( Japanese 美濃 部 直 彦 , Minobe Naohiko ; born July 12, 1965 in Shiga Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player and coach.

Career

Minobe learned to play soccer on the school team at Moriyama High School . He signed his first contract with Matsushita Electric in 1984 . The club played in the second highest league in the country, the Japan Soccer League Division 2. 1985/86 he was with the club champion of the Japan Soccer League Division 2 and rose to Division 1. At the end of the 1986/87 season, the club was relegated to Division 2. In 1987/88 he was runner-up in Division 2 with the club and was promoted to Division 1. In 1990 he won the Kaiser Cup with the club . With the founding of the professional league J.League in 1992 and the associated reorganization of Japanese football, Matsushita Electric became Gamba Osaka . For the club, he completed 80 top division games. In 1994 he moved to the second division club Kyoto Purple Sanga . In 1995 he was runner-up in the Japan Football League with the club . At the end of 1995 he ended his career as a football player.
