Naoya Saeki ( Japanese 佐伯 直 哉 Saeki Naoya ; born December 18, 1977 in Tokyo Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Saeki learned to play football in the youth team of Verdy Kawasaki (today: Tokyo Verdy) and the university team of Kokushikan University . He signed his first contract in 2000 with the Júbilo Iwata . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In September 2001 he moved to league competitor Vissel Kobe . For the club he completed 77 first division games. In 2006 he moved to league rivals Omiya Ardija . In June 2006 he was loaned to league rivals Avispa Fukuoka . For the club he completed 21 first division games. In 2007 he returned to Omiya Ardija. For the club, he completed 37 first division games. In 2009 he moved to league rivals JEF United Chiba . In 2010 he moved to the second division club Tokyo Verdy . For the club he completed 64 league games. At the end of 2012 he ended his career as a football player.
