Napoléon Charles Bonaparte
Napoléon Charles Bonaparte (born October 10, 1802 in Paris , † May 4, 1807 in The Hague ) was the eldest son of Louis Bonaparte and Hortense de Beauharnais . His father was the younger brother of Napoleon I and his mother was the daughter of Joséphine de Beauharnais , Napoleon's first wife. At the time of his birth, his uncle was First Consul and childless. Napoléon Charles was his eldest nephew and thus a potential heir to the throne, as his nickname "little Napoleon" indicated, as he was the long-awaited male descendant. He died of diphtheria at the age of four .
Napoléon Charles had two brothers, the younger of whom, Louis Napoléon, named Napoléon III in 1852 . Became Emperor of France . Napoléon Charles's other brother, Napoléon Louis Bonaparte , died in 1831.
