Napoli (company)
Napoli is an Austrian confectionery manufacturer. Napoli has been owned by the Manner company since 1970 .
history
The Napoli company was founded by Franz Andres in 1949 shortly after the Second World War . In 1955, Napoli bought the Casali company . This made the company the second largest confectionery manufacturer in Austria.
In 1970, Napoli-Casali was taken over by Carl Manner .
After chocolate biscuits were already being produced at the end of the 1960s, which were only moderately well received by consumers, the Napoli Dragee Keksi , created in 1974, sold extremely successfully. The associated advertising slogan “ If only I can stop ” also became well known in Austria .
Due to the increased demand for milk chocolate , the recipe for Napoli Dragee Keksi has been changed. In 2002 Napoli Dragee Keksi milk chocolate was offered for the first time . In 2009 the packaging was modernized and an annually changing edition with an additional flavor (“biscuit of the year”) was offered.
