Narcotic Thrust is a British music project made up of two DJs and producers, Stuart Crichton and Andy Morris. The band's name is an anagram of Crichton's name.

Career

Briton Crichton and Australian Morris worked together in London since the mid-1990s. Crichton began his career remixing various hits, including for Rozalla and The Grid . He achieved two chart successes under the name Umboza (??). After joint gigs in various clubs in the British capital, he founded the Narcotic Thrust project with Morris and in 1996 the first single, Funky Acid Baby, was released. Remixes for Apollo 440 , Real 2 Real and Amen UK followed .

In 2002 they created a dance classic with Safe from Harm and reached number 1 on the US Hot Dance Club Play Charts . Yvonne John Lewis acted as the singer . The duo achieved their greatest commercial success to date with the single I Like It , which reached the top ten in the British charts in autumn 2004 and reached number 16 in the American dance / club play charts .

For their single When the Dawn Breaks (2005) they won Gary Clark, the singer of the Scottish band Danny Wilson . The single Waiting for You from 2006 was recorded again with Yvonne John Lewis. In addition, further remixes were made for the band Cassius ( The Sound of Violence ), Kylie Minogue ( Red Blooded Woman ) and Depeche Mode ( Suffer Well ).
