Natalja Eduardovna Andreitschenko ( Russian Наталья Эдуардовна Андрейченко , scientific transliteration Natal'ja Ėduardovna Andrejčenko ; born May 3, 1956 in Moscow ) is a Russian actress who was particularly popular in the 1970s and 1980s. One of her most famous roles was the role of Mary Poppins in a musical film for children.

Life

Natalja Andreitschenko decided to become an actress while she was still at school. After several unsuccessful attempts to enroll in the Shchepkin Art School, she was accepted into the Gerasimov Cinema Institute, where her teachers included Sergei Bondarchuk and Irina Skobzewa . Her first film appearances were in 1976 in the films From Sunrise to Sunrise ( От зари до зари ) and A Lullaby for Men ( Колыбельная для мужчин ). She became famous in 1979 in the series Siberiade , which won the special jury prize at the Cannes International Film Festival . Her roles in the children's film Goodbye, Mary Poppins, brought her even more prominence in the Soviet Union ! ( Мэри Поппинс, до свидания! ) And in the film Frontromanze ( Военно-полевой роман ), both of which appeared in 1983.

Natalja Andreitschenko was married twice. Her first husband, with whom she was married from 1981 to 1986, was the Soviet pop composer Maxim Dunajewski , a son of Isaak Dunajewski . She has a son with him. In her second marriage, she was married to the Austrian actor and film director Maximilian Schell from 1986 to 2005 . A daughter emerged from the marriage.
