Nathaniel Barton

Nathaniel Barton ( November 9, 1764 - November 2, 1828 ) was a British lawyer and politician.

Nathaniel Barton was the eldest son of John Barton and his wife Ann (nee Bayly). He worked as a lawyer. In March 1820 he was elected to the House of Commons , where he represented the constituency of Westbury until November 1820.

On August 11, 1804, he married his first maternal cousin Elizabeth Thring († 1847). The marriage resulted in a son and two daughters.

Barton's maternal relatives came from a number of MPs, including his uncle Nathaniel Bayly and first cousin Bryan Edwards also in the House of Commons.
