The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in South Korea ( MMCA ) is a museum for contemporary art with the main museum in Gwacheon (since 1986) and three branches in Deoksugung (since 1998), Seoul (since 2013) and Cheongju (expected in 2019). Established in 1969 as the only national art museum in the country, the museum houses modern and contemporary art from Korea as well as international art from various eras.
