The National Premier Leagues 2013 was the first season of the second highest Australian football league . A total of 55 teams took part in the NPL this season. The championship finals began on September 29th and ended on October 6th, 2013.

Sydney United secured the NPL championship title with a 2-0 win in the final against South Hobart FC .

Participants in the final round

Four regional NPL premiership winners and the champions of the NPL South Australia took part in the final round of the championship. The teams were set according to geographical conditions. The game was played in three simple knockout rounds with quarter and semi-finals and finally the final. Due to the odd number of participants, however, three teams received a bye in the quarterfinals .
