The National Socialist Council of Nagaland ("National Socialist Council of Nagaland") is a larger revolutionary, naga-nationalist rebel group that is or was mainly active in northeast India and until 2012 in northwest Myanmar . The main goal of the organization is the establishment of a sovereign Naga state Nagalim , which is to consist of all areas inhabited by the Naga peoples in northeast India and northwest Myanmar. The NSCN's slogan is Nagaland for Christ and the group invokes, among other things, the religious content of Christianity. Ultimately, however, the religion is mainly used as a distinguishing feature of the Christian Naga from other peoples with non-Christian religions. The group is accused of kidnapping, murdered, raped, forcibly converted and terrorist activities.

Two main factions of the NSCN are the NSCN-Khaplang and the NSCN-Isaik-Muivah.

On November 6, 2015, in response to an attack on an army convoy in Manipur , India classified the NSCN-Khaplang as a terrorist organization. India's Ministry of the Interior describes the NSCN as one of the most important separatist groups .
