National I Féminine 2004/05
The Nationale I Féminine 2004/05 was the third French team championship in women's chess and at the same time the first that was carried out in a league with promotion and relegation.
The championship was the Club de Clichy-Echecs-92 , and the Club de L'Echiquier Chalonnais had to relegate to National II . The defending champion Association Cannes-Echecs was not at the start. For the reported team squads, see team squad of the Nationale I Féminine 2004/05 .
Game dates
The competitions took place from February 11th to 13th, 2005 and were held centrally in Clichy .
mode
The ten participating clubs held a four-round tournament in the Swiss system . The number of team points (3 points for a win, 2 points for a tie, 1 point for a defeat, 0 points for a defeat without a fight) first decided on the placement, then the difference between winning and losing games and finally the number of winning games . Since the league was increased to 12 teams for the coming season, only the bottom of the table rose and was replaced by the winners of the three seasons of the National II.
Season course
The decision about the title as well as the relegation was only made in the last round. Clichy and Évry had each won the first three rounds, and a direct comparison win Clichy became French team champion. At the bottom of the table were Naujac-Sur-Mer and Chalons-En-Champagne, who had lost the first three laps. Naujac-Sur-Mer achieved relegation by winning.
