from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 2018/19 season is the sixth season of the National League A in Powerchair Hockey in Switzerland. The Whirldrivers from Lausanne play in the National League B for the first time after their relegation. After two dominant years, the Iron Cats Zurich have rearranged their two teams into two equally strong squads, taking various factors into account, in order to make the league run exciting again hold. The B-master Lucerne renounces promotion and continues to play in the national league B. This means that there are again 4 teams playing in the top division for the championship title.

The first matchday was very even and Rolling Thunder Bern took over the lead. After the 8: 4 victory over the 2nd team of the Iron Cats on the 2nd matchday they lost after a 7: 2 break against the Zeka Rollers A with 9: 7. Since this incredible defeat, the Bernese have not won a game and ended up in last place. The Zurich team won their 5th title and the 2nd team reached the runner-up. Despite their last place in the table, the Bernese continue to play in the top division, as the Zeka Rollers A voluntarily go to the National League B. The Red Eagles from Basel, as B champions, will play in the top division for the first time next season. Jan Schäublin was the top scorer with 74 goals, just ahead of Dominik Zenhäusern with 72 goals.
