The Vodloserski National Park ( Russian: Национальный парк «Водлозе́рский» ) is a protected area in northern Russia . The park is located in the areas of the Oneschski rajon of the Arkhangelsk Oblast and the Pudoschski rajon of the Republic of Karelia . The protected area was designated in 1991 and is 4,689.15 km² in size. The park was nominated as a World Heritage Site in 1998 , but has not been given this status to this day. According to the WWF, the ecological importance of the park is high. In its center lies the Wodlosero lake .
